Vintage Lead Toys & Figures
By the turn of the 20th century, several companies in Europe were producing inexpensive lead toys which began to catch on with children and adults alike.
For the first half of the century, the only soldiers available were made of lead or a sawdust and glue mixture called "composition." Originally, these lead toys were intended for children to play with but today such lead toy are known to be toxic and are collected by nostalgic adults.
